Jeffrey Hudson, Chiropractor, Functional Neurologist & Certified Clinical Nutritionist
Dr. Jeffrey S. Hudson is a man passionate about health and wellness!
His passion for chiropractic was fueled at a young age. As a child, he grew up witnessing weekly migraine headaches suffered by his mother. He watched as years of doctor visits and medications did little or nothing to help. And then one day, a family friend suggested that she visit a chiropractor. After six months, his mother never suffered another migraine! This event strongly impacted his career path.
A second, more personal event sealed his decision. As a high school student, Jeffrey was on the wrestling team. One day he injured his lower back. His coach told him emphatically that he would now have a back issue that would bother him for the rest of his life! Jeff went to his mother’s chiropractor and got the spinal injury corrected. He has since partaken in 20 years of Tae Kwon Do, and more than 20 years in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with nary an issue with his back. However, he does take care of his spine, and teaches his sports buddies to do the same.
Dr. Hudson’s career began in 1981, as he graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Mo. Moving to Columbus, Ohio in 1982, Dr. Hudson set up his practice. He was established at his first location at Cleveland Ave. and Schrock Rd. for 27 years. Four years ago, he moved his practice to a larger office in Westerville, Ohio.
Dr. Hudson is a man who never stops learning! He intentionally stays on the cutting edge of chiropractic as new research and developments arise. Ten years ago, he re-vamped his entire practice in order to accommodate a system of total spine rehabilitation. That included re-styling his x-ray unit, adding a new type of adjusting table, and lots of other types of rehabilitative equipment. The practice has a large and fully-equipped therapy room.
In 2009, Dr. Hudson became a Board-Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN). This was the result of three years of study and testing. Nutrition is a strong component of his present-day practice. This includes science-based blood testing and high quality nutrient supplements.
These past four years, Dr. Hudson has placed himself under the instruction of Dr. Carrick of Carrick Institute (Carrick Brain Centers). He is now a Board Certified Diplomat of Functional Neurology. This high level of education has demanded intense dedication. Dr. Hudson has attended up to 40 hours of lecture per month, with lots of self-study and testing. Coupled with this, he has taken an additional 36 months of specialized study in Traumatic Brain Injury.
Dr. Hudson maintains an active lifestyle. He is a 5th degree black belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu; a popular martial art. He has been a monthly guest on WRFD-AM 880 with an hour long health talk. He also speaks regularly at Raisin Rack in Westerville Ohio.
Dr. Hudson has been married to his wife Gabrielle for 32 years. They have three children.
